CREATIVE NEW TOY

Having a child with disabilities I am always thinking of new ways to entertain her. Sitting in a stroller or laying in bed or the bouncy chair, having sitting time in the squiggles chair or stander seem to be a lot of change throughout the day, but when these are the only options after 3 years I can see how this would be boring!!!! I hear it in her frustrating cries and it tears at my heart so I'm always racking my brain for other fun ideas that would stimulate her and keep her occupied.

I love this $9.00 indoor pool and she loves it too! It's boundaries are soft and she can touch, slap or kick em'. Filled with toys she loves she is entertained for hours. The toy rack that I made is being modified and I will take another photo of what I have created to work with this new item.

What ideas have you come up with, please share... I would love to hear them!

  1. This looks like an incredible investment. I think you need to begin a blog for good ideas like this. Then we could all benefit. I unfortunely don't have so many creative ideas so I could benefit. I think Annabel has that same outfit. Sweet Abby looks like she is getting longer. I will wait to see your new invention you are speaking of. Hugs and Kisses from Texas.

  3. Abby looks like she is having fun! Great idea!

I am always thinking of ways to stimulate Gavin and always feel like he must be so bored and sick of laying on his back or sitting in his chair! I feel so badly for him!

I don't think that I have room for a pool in our house, but I plan on trying your idea outside this summer! Thanks!
